I Wanna Soak Up the Sun!

Visited Isanoura Beach, the surf beach of Wakayama, Japan. No great waves for surfing but lots of really constant waves to play in all day. Which I did. Bikini post will be my next post!
From tomorrow morning I will be going camping in Kyoto, Japan. Camping on top of a mountain. Should be fun. Then, hopefully, back to the beach by the weekend!

A Midsummer's Night

long awaited post. i'm still new to blogging but i realize that its sooo easy to fall out of the habit of updating my blog. i'm going to start managing my post schedules so everyone can be sure to see a post around the same time every day or 2.
I'm quite goofy in person and it reflects in my photos; unfortunately. It's hard being serious when you're with your friends. Well, extensions are out now! It's waaaay too humid for it right now. These Chanel sandals I have grown to love way more than I thought I would. The metallic is so bright and unique but it looks great with practically everything. I'm so happy my boyfriend chose them for me. These pics were taken while walking around the outskirts of an urban area.

Green Tea Paradise

Traveled to Hiroshima, Japan (my mother's hometown) to visit my family over the weekend. We went to my aunt's favorite dessert shop. A sweet shop where everything is made with green tea. It was very delicious and if you ever travel here, I highly recommend this place!

Rain, Rain, GO AWAY!!!!!

Rainy Season is still in full effect here in Japan. Everyday it rains but the aftermath of humid heat is 10x worse than the rain. I'm not in a dress-up mood on rainy days since its just so impractical in a country where you have to walk from point A to B.
People always laugh at me because I carry a huge men's umbrella. Japanese women are serious about their umbrellas as fashion accessories. I prefer not to get wet. Do you have go-to rainy day style? Would love to read about it!

Happy Birthday America... Love, Japan

First off, I'm free!!! I had a really hectic schedule the past couple of weeks but it has temporarily come to an end. For all of my work and to keep from getting stressed, I'm treating myself to a solo vacation next month! Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -> Koh Samet, Thailand -> Bangkok, Thailand!! So excited to be pampered in luxurious hotels, go sight seeing and shopping, and of course to soak up the sun on a beautiful beach!

The 4th of July is one of my all-time favorite holidays. My family extravagantly celebrates EVERY national holiday but the 4th is pretty HUGE! BBQ all day long and fireworks. This day really made me miss home and think about how much longer I will stay in Asia. I was also in a bad mood towards my boyfriend and he didn't deserve it.

But, thankfully, I got a little help from my friends who decided to have an Americans only dinner at an American restaurant. Our only choice was the Hard Rock Cafe but it was the next best thing to actually being in America. The ribs tasted like home (well not quite as good) and they played Whitney Houston's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner on all the screens then after we realized we weren't the only Americans there as tables began to chant "USA! USA!"
Came from work so I have no makeup and I look pretty gross lol. It was my first time going to Hard Rock in Japan but I want to say thank you to them for making me feel close to home on the most important day for our country. THANKS!!!
